I’d like to make a big entry, but internet is very expensive on the ship.
We toured Stockholm today. All the usual comments — beautiful city, etc., etc. We also went out to a small, ancient village in the countryside. Today is the biggest holiday of the year in Sweden, the summer solstice. Everyone takes off work and heads for the countryside, so streets were empty, shops closed.
Tomorrow Gisele and I will take a bike tour of Helsinki. We hope it doesn’t rain.

Sounds like Stockholm would have been a great city for a bike tour with no one on the streets!

This is their second cruise. They went to Alaska a couple years ago.

I’m confused (not unusual in my life), but I thought Oslo was first on your tour. When do you go there? and will you be there longer? I would love to see the fiords, however it’s spelled. Maybe there are some in other countries, but I remember that, in my geography classes of 70+ years ago, we learned about them, and they sound so unusual and beautiful.
