Devon finally has a new job, working for Spectra Sensors. He’ll be doing programming as an intern, for a 3 month term. I guess it will be renegotiated at that time.
He still lives in Pasadena near his old company, but the new job is about 30 miles away in Rancho Cucamonga. Good thing he has a Prius!

I live almost 30 miles from my job. That’s quite normal in LA.
Did he never hear from Boeing or did he not pursue it?

I used to have a client in Rancho Cucamonga. That is one of the smoggiest places in So. Cal, so driving a Prius will help that problem too.

If Dev likes his new job, and gets frequent raises, he isn’t going to want to take time out to go on to grad. school.

After a week on the job Devon says he likes the job quite well, better than he expected.
He also said that commute traffic was excellent — he is apparently counter-commuting away from the city in the morning and towards it in the evening. He is able to drive 70 all the way there and back (about 30 minutes).

I don’t think he heard back from Boeing, at least not for an interview.

Too bad he didn’t hear anything from Boeing but glad he’s happy in the new job. He’s really lucky to be able to drive those speeds at anytime in LA let alone rush hour.
