Our electric bill for July was $417.10. This is the first time we’ve been over $400 for one month.
It’s been a hot, humid month, fuel rates are up, and somebody keeps turning the thermostat down…
$417!

WOW! My July bill was only $161.50. I had that new A/C installed last fall. Looks like it’s very efficient.
Who’s been turning your thermostat down??? Smack their little hands!

What are you trying to do? Compete with Al Gore?

We have our bill spread out through the year and only spend a little over $125/month.

I like my plan best! Keep your apartment as cool or as warm as you want, no extra cost. There are a few goodies attached to being old.

Or go to Alaska. It only hit 70 (for a high, not low) 3 times during July in Anchorage this year. We have not turned on our air conditioner yet.

But I bet the winter heating bill in Alaska is higher than it is here.

Ut-oh. Ours averages about 325 to 350 each summer month. We still have hotter months to get through.

Our last bill was $80… in the winter it maxes at $180.
