Thank you Derek, for telling me about this website.
Take a look at Free Rice. It’s a simple multiple-choice word definition game with a twist. For each word you get right, the page sponsors donate 10 grains of rice through the United Nations to help end world hunger.
It sounds like an Urban Legend or scam, but you can check it out at the World Food Programme web site.
The words get harder fast, but it’s more interesting and addictive than it might seem. Try it! I’m at level 43. How high can you get?

I’ve managed to hit 46 a couple of times, but can’t stay there very long.

I can’t compete with you, Daryl. I only got to level 34 before I got bored. But I donated 600 grains of rice!

I am not happy; this type of thing fascinates me, and I can’t quit. I am just now making myself do something else. By the way, I hovered between 39 and 42. I’ll try again one of these days.

I was in the store the other day, and “hey there Delilah” came on the radio. Me & eric started singing “hey there Apollo”.
