A few months ago I reported that my City League basketball team had an “undefeating season”, and ended at 0-8.
In the off season we picked up a 6’7″ center and have done much better this time around. We are currently 4-3, and last week we beat the previously undefeated first place team by 19 points.
Tomorrow we start the tournament, which will extend over three weeks. Unfortunately they took the top few teams from our league and pushed them up to the tournament in the next division, so we will probably be playing some more competitive teams.
I’ll post the results here.

Wait, I don’t understand. They took the top teams and moved them up, but you’ll still be playing more competitive teams? Oh! Does that mean you are one of the top teams who was moved up? Well, well. Congratulations! Nice going.
Oregon State was an undefeating team in the PAC this year, wasn’t it?

Go Daryl’s Team!!!!! or whatever you are called. It must have gotten a bit old to lose all the time. Glad to hear you have some wins.

We are “AZ United”. We took third place in our division and 4 teams got moved up.
Just heard our 6’7″ center pulled a hamstring today. He’s going to try to play tomorrow, but probably won’t be 100% in any event.

Well, it was a noble effort, but in the end we couldn’t pull it out. We lost 63-57 to the #2 team in the higher division.
We’re already talking about next season, which starts mid-April.
