The doctor said to come back in 8 to 10 years. Glad to hear I won’t have to go through that prep again for a while!

It was wonderful when Dr. told me that I never have to have another one; just another benefit of getting old. However, ten years is enough for you to forget it for a long time.

OMG! What had you been eating?!

That was after 24 hours of preparation; a supposedly clean, empty colon. I’m glad I don’t have pictures of it in its normal state.

An interesting side note: They used propofol to anesthetize me. I have had several surgeries before, but never used propofol. I was amazed at how quickly I recovered afterwards. I woke up and was almost immediately clear headed, with none of the usual groggy feeling. They discharged me a few minutes later.
That’s the way to go!

I’ve had two and the prep is definitely worse than the scope.

Betty has been on propofal for 2 1/2 days now. They said it’s been called the amnesia drug because you seldom remember anything that happened while you were on it. I’m hoping it’s that way for Betty.
