This, barely 10 years after the Constitution was ratified, by many of the same people.  There was no debate or objection to the statement by Congress or the public.  It was an obvious, accepted statement of fact.<\/p>\n<p>Many people today claim that the US <strong>was <\/strong>founded as a Christian nation.
