Many different topics were discussed, but the beliefs of the participants probably roughly went this way, from fewest people believing to most people believing:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Probably less than 1% believe in:<\/strong><br \/>\nTalking with the dead<br \/>\nFairies, gnomes, trolls, etc.<br \/>\nMoving objects with your mind<br \/>\nMind readers<br \/>\nPower bands (bands worn on the wrist that increase your strength)<br \/>\nGhosts<br \/>\nBigfoot, Loch Ness monster<br \/>\nThe moon landing was faked<br \/>\nObama is a Muslim<br \/>\n9\/11 was an inside conspiracy (i.e. Bush, Cheney or Jews, etc.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maybe 5% or less believe in:<\/strong><br \/>\nHomeopathic medicine<br \/>\nAliens visiting the earth (might belong in the 1% category)<br \/>\nCreationism<br \/>\nVaccines may cause autism<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maybe 10% believe in:<\/strong><br \/>\nAcupuncture<br \/>\nChiropractic medicine can work for other than bones and joints<br \/>\nIntelligent life probably exists somewhere else in the universe<br \/>\nGod or Gods<br \/>\nPeople possess a soul, something other than the physical body<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maybe 50% believe:<\/strong><br \/>\nChiropractic medicine can work for bones and joints<br \/>\nLife probably exists somewhere else in the universe<br \/>\nScience can help make moral decisions about right and wrong<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maybe 80% believe:<\/strong><br \/>\nHumans caused global warming<br \/>\nAll mind and mental activity is completely based on brain function<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maybe 90% believe:<\/strong><br \/>\nGlobal warming is real, whether caused by humans or not<br \/>\nScience can help determine what is true<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maybe 95% believe:<\/strong><br \/>\nLife evolved on earth by natural selection<br \/>\nIf a God exists, it doesn&#8217;t interfere with the world.
