It was a disappointing year for Arizona basketball fans. It’s time to look at “next year”.
On the negative side, Jerryd Bayless has opted for the NBA draft. Probably wise, since he is projected to go in the first 10, with a few million dollar salary.
On the positive side, Lute Olson will be back (unless something else comes up!), and very interestingly the top high school player in the nation has committed to UA. He sounds like quite a player.
I haven’t heard what Budinger is planning to do, but I think he could benefit by another year. Hope he thinks so too.
I haven’t heard of any other new commits. There were rumors that the coaching problems had lost us some players, but I also read recently that this isn’t true.

I just realized tonight that UCLA lost on Saturday. That was a surprise … I kinda thought they would be the champions this year.
I hope Budinger stays. Too many kids leave college behind nowadays for the fame and fortune of the NBA.
At least our streak lives on and next year is a whole new chance to take it deep into the tournament.

Did you read the very negative article in the Tribune re: Lute?

This morning’s news is reporting that Budinger will also declare for the draft. 🙁

One glimmer of hope is that Budinger isn’t hiring an agent, so he can test the water, but it if doesn’t look too promising he can return.
Mom — I read that article. That columnist sure doesn’t like Lute, does he?!

When do we get an update on Apollo? He’s as important as anyone else in this family.

It has been over two weeks since you posted. If nothing exciting has happened to you or Gisele, Derek or Apollo, how about Devon? You have got to keep us aware of all that is going on in Temps.
